Support Sphere: Empowering VET Students Against NEET Risk

The Thematic School of Advanced Vocational Training of Egaleo (SAEK Egaleo) coordinates
the Erasmus+ project “Support Sphere: Prevent VET students from going NEET”, funded
under KA220-VET. The project runs from October 2024 to September 2026 and is
implemented in collaboration with five European partners from Greece, Spain, Italy, and
Belgium.
Support Sphere addresses the critical issue of youth becoming NEET (Not in Education,
Employment or Training) by enhancing career guidance systems in vocational education and
training (VET). The project focuses on supporting VET students in their career decisions
through structured peer mentorship and empowering VET trainers with modern tools and
methodologies.
Key results include the development of the SupportSphere Handbook and Training
Programme, a digital self-assessment tool, and an inclusive e-learning platform. The project
promotes inclusion, reduces dropout rates, and strengthens the link between VET
institutions and the labour market. Its long-term vision is to improve employability, foster
social support networks, and influence policy on VET and youth employment across Europe.
